"These gifts make us feel more confident and persistent with the children"
Ms. N, holding boxes of fresh milk - constantly thanking the volunteers of the program "Giving nutritional milk to children", established by For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF). Mrs. N's child is diagnosed with congenital cerebral palsy, which must be treated periodically, each stage lasts from 25-28 days. Every month, Mrs. N. and her child travel from Quang Tri Province to Hanoi. However, due to recent circumstances of heavy floods in the Central Region, Mrs. N. and her daughter are stuck in Hanoi.
Ms. N. is just one of many difficult cases that we had an opportunity to meet at the Central Acupuncture Hospital. During the trip, VSF and 3 volunteers: Nguyen Linh Trang (Hanoi National University), Nguyen Hanh Trang (University of Queensland - Australia) and Phan Khanh Chi (Foreign Trade University) had awarded 1200 glasses of fresh nutritious milk for patients at Pediatrics Department of Central Acupuncture Hospital.
The Pediatric Department at the Hospital includes the Pediatrics Department, Department of Cerebral Palsy and the Department of Treatment and Care for Children with Autism. Most of the children here are diagnosed with severe medical conditions, requiring long treatment periods. Among them are many patients with extremely difficult circumstances that in need of physical and mental support.
Total funding for this activity is extracted from the Online Charity Fair on VSF's fanpage and Global Giving. We sincerely thank the volunteers, both domestic and international philanthropists who join hand with VSF to spread love to the community. We hope to continue receiving the companionship of the donors in the near future.
