Fundraising to donate 500 essential supply kits to those affected by Typhoon Yagi

Many areas have been isolated, and transportation has come to a standstill, making rescue and relief efforts extremely difficult. The typhoon has also left thousands of households homeless, with their properties destroyed, forcing them to evacuate. According to a rapid report on September 9, 2024, from the Department of Dike Management and Disaster Prevention and Control (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), Typhoon Yagi has resulted in 103 deaths and missing persons, destroyed nearly 200,000 hectares of rice and crops, and killed nearly 700,000 livestock and poultry.

In the spirit of solidarity and mutual support, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) is launching a fundraising campaign to support those affected by the floods caused by Typhoon Yagi. The campaign will run for three days, from September 10 to September 13, 2024, with a fundraising goal of 150,000,000 VND.

Specifically, VSF, in collaboration with the Vietnam Women's Union, will distribute 500 essential supply kits to the affected communities, with a special focus on women and children, in three provinces: Ha Giang (100 kits), Lao Cai (200 kits), and Thai Nguyen (200 kits). Each kit, valued at VND 300,000, includes rice, instant noodles, medicine, personal hygiene items, and other essentials (depending on local needs.)
