Giving 470 gifts worth VND 141 millions to support disadvantaged families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Nghe An province

On the afternoon of September 16th, 2021, accompanying the program "Million well-being gift bags - sharing love, jointly overcome the pandemic" of Nghe An Province’s Youth Union, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) gave 470 well-being gift bags worth VND 141 millions for families with children in difficult circumstances affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Nghe An province. Each gift bag worth VND 300.000 includes essential food for daily life.

This grant is deducted from the donation of employees of TH Group and BAC A BANK through  VSF to support people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On behalf of  TH Group and BAC A BANK’s employees, Mr. Nguyen Chi Tue - Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of BAC A BANK's Trade Union shared: “Executive Committee  of BAC A BANK Trade Union is very proud to give these well-being gifts to people in Nghe An province. Hopefully, the support of all TH Group and BAC A BANK’s employees will partly help people dealing with difficulties.”

In addition to supporting people in Nghe An, VSF also continues to implement support programs in Ho Chi Minh City  - which is still heavily affected by the pandemic. Detailed information about supporting the people of Ho Chi Minh City will be updated on VSF's communication channels.

“Joining hands for the community is an annual activity of TH Group, BAC A BANK. In addition to contributions from the organization, employees of TH Group and BAC A BANK always show their responsibility to the community. As soon as receiving the call to action of Madam Thai Huong - The Management Board's Chairwoman of VSF, TH Group and BAC A BANK’s Trade Union launched a donation program to all trade union members, and employees to share difficulties with people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.” Mr. Tue said.

This is one of many gift-giving trips implemented by VSF, TH Group and BAC A BANK since the COVID-19 outbreaks from March 2020. Up to now, 3 units have given more than 4 million fresh milk products, healthy drinks; have donated medical equipment, cash for Vietnam Fund for Vaccination Prevention of COVID-19 and support people who are in quarantine; and have given charity meals worth up to VND100 billion.
