Recently, the Environmental Youth Ambassadors 2025 program, themed “Turn plastic into a new journey,” successfully selected 3 outstanding candidates with influential profiles, knowledge about plastic waste, and substantial media skills.

From May to November 2025, ambassadors will accompany the program in launching a communications project and organizing activities to raise awareness about plastic waste and encourage sustainability.

To be well-prepared, the newly appointed Ambassadors joined 2 training classes for communications skills and plastic waste-related knowledge, arranged by the Youth for Environment project.

On the first day of the training course, under the instruction of Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha, the Internal Communications Manager of TH Group, the Ambassadors have learnt more about how to set up plans and build environmental communications messages efficiently, suitably for the target audience. Moreover, the training session has expanded the perspectives on gender-sensitive communication, aiming to foster fairness and inclusivity in environmental campaigns.

Day 2 of training, the Ambassadors joined a creative learning space with Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha, the founder of Nha Bon Hai Mot (Coffee & Space). The session concentrates on raising awareness about plastic, plastic pollution, and its impact on the environment, along with a recycling workshop, transforming used t-shirts into customised reusable bags.

In addition, throughout the training courses, the Ambassadors have also been trained on teamwork, counterargument, and presenting skills by adapting experimental activities.

These experiences are the fundamental steps to ensure that the Ambassadors not only “say the facts” but also “say them effectively.” Hope that the knowledge and skills learnt from these sessions will become a significant tool for the Ambassadors to successfully carry out activities addressing plastic waste pollution in the upcoming period!
