Situation
In less than a month, Vietnam has been hit by two storms, Typhoon No. 10 (Bualoi) and Typhoon No. 11 (Matmo), which caused extremely severe damage in many northern and central provinces.
More than 80 people have been reported dead or missing as of October 8, 2025. Nearly 200,000 houses have collapsed, lost their roofs, or been badly damaged. Tens of thousands of hectares of rice and other crops were submerged under floodwater. Many areas, such as Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, and Lang Son, were cut off due to hundreds of landslides, paralysed transportation systems, and destroyed schools and health stations. Tens of thousands of households have lost everything when floodwaters swept away their property, fields, and livestock - the means they used to make a living.

After the storms, prolonged heavy rain has pushed water levels in many places beyond previous peaks, causing many areas to remain deeply flooded and isolated. Thousands of households lost their homes and livelihoods, and children could not go to school.
In the spirit of “the good leaves protect the torn ones,” For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) has worked closely with the Vietnam Women’s Union and local authorities in the hardest hit areas to promptly provide emergency relief.
To continue spreading these meaningful efforts, VSF calls on the community to join hands in the campaign “Support people by natural disasters and floods in 2025.”
Let’s join hands with ANY AMOUNT OF DONATION to help us share love and care with those suffering after the disasters. All donations will be delivered directly to affected households, especially women and children in difficult circumstances.
