Sharing of mother of children who received passbooks that sponsored five years of living expenses in Binh Duong

“Before passing away, my husband was the primary breadwinner in the family. I stayed at home to work as a seamstress to earn extra income while taking care of my sick child and a younger child. Therefore, after the death of him, our lives as a mother and four children fell into a very difficult situation. When I heard that we will receive a monthly living allowance of one million VND for five years, I was very touched. It is a great happiness and a really precious gift for me right now…”

This is the sharing of Mrs. Dang Thi Diem, the mother of Nguyen Minh Hoang - one of eight children who received passbooks that sponsored five years of living expenses for orphans affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Binh Duong. Funding for this activity is taken from the “Spreading true happiness” Fundraising Program of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) in 2021 to contribute to the prevention, control, and overcoming of consequences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Previously, in 2023, VSF also collaborated with the National Volunteer Center to give 8 passbooks to orphaned students in Binh Duong affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, up to now, the total number of children sponsored by VSF is 43 children, of which 16 are in Binh Duong.

Over the years, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, VSF has focused its resources on child protection activities to take care of and accompany disadvantaged students affected by the pandemic, helping them stabilize their lives and continue their studies.
