The 13th Newsletter - For Vietnamese Stature Foundation

Dear partners, friends, and hearts of gold of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation!

Overcoming unprecedented difficulties in 2020, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) had a successful year with many meaningful activities. Let us review the last projects and programs of 2020 in this 13th newsletter.

Madam Thai Huong - Chairwoman of VSF was honored to receive the award of “Labour Hero” in the reform period. VSF is proud to be led by a talented leader who has the right orientation for the development path of the organization.

The 3rd “For Vietnamese Stature” Bridge, constructed on the occasion of the 5th establishment anniversary of VSF with the  sponsorship of Madam Thai Huong was officially inaugurated. It not only helped the locals (in Nam Duong village, Sinh Long commune, Tuyen Quang province) travel safely, but also contributed to connecting and enhancing the local socio-economic development.

To raise public awareness in environmental protection, VSF cooperated with Touch, TH Group and BAC A BANK to make 5 short films with topics of forest protection, sustainable fashion, electricity-saving, water-saving, and reduction of plastic bags. With the participation of some celebrities such as actor Ha Huong, MC Phan Anh, MC Danh Tung, MC Thuy Linh, etc. the films were expected to spread immensely and create a positive impact on the community, especially the young.

In the fourth quarter of 2020, VSF called for 16 volunteers to join the program "Warm winter” in the project “Growing up with mountainous preschool students" and went on a trip to give 206 gift sets to preschool students in Cao Bang province. The project not only brings nutritious lunches but also continues to create a warm affection to the community by connecting sponsors and volunteers with children in difficult upland areas. 

As arranged, handmade envelopes made by autistic and intellectually disabled children with meaningful greetings continued to be coordinated by VSF and Skill Enhancement Education & Development Programme (SEED). Profits from this activity not only supported career guidance and vocational training for autistic youth but also was subtracted to support the donation of nutritious milk to children at hospitals in Ha Noi.

Moreover, projects such as "For Mother and Baby - For Vietnamese stature", "Youth for Environment", Initiative fund "Fresh air - green city" will also implement the final activities of 2020. In particular, the "DynaGen Initiative" continued to be carried out effectively when students actively participated in training programs and community-targeted activities initiated by VSF.

On the threshold of the year 2021, VSF would like to send our gratitude to the units and individuals who have accompanied us during the past years. We hope to continue to receive your support so that our journey to community development can spread and develop sustainably.
