More than 50 doctors and medical staff from NHOG directly performed more than 1,800 medical examinations along with nearly 1,600 ultrasounds and tests, focusing on internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics, including: gynecological ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound and other necessary tests. In total, 1,511 people were examined and received free health consultations.

Through the examinations, many cases requiring specialized monitoring and treatment, such as suspected cancer, abnormal gynecological issues and malnutrition in children, were detected and advised on appropriate care directions, while coordinating with local medical facilities for long-term monitoring.
Ms. Nong Thi C. (nearly 80 years old, Tay ethnic group) shared that because of her old age and difficulty in moving, she rarely goes for regular health check-ups. “This is the first time I have been examined on-site by doctors from the Central level. Thanks to that, I feel much more at ease,” she said. For many local people, this is also the first time Dam Thuy commune has had a large-scale free health examination program, helping people, especially the elderly and women, access medical services right in their locality.
On this occasion, VSF, TH Group and BAC A BANK also donated 12,088 glasses of TH true MILK to all people participating in the medical examination in the program; at the same time, 20 gifts were awarded to poor students who overcome difficulties (each gift includes 1 carton of milk) and 20 cash gifts to families in difficult circumstances (1 million VND per gift).

VSF hopes that, through the examination activities and practical gifts, the program will contribute to better community healthcare, helping people feel secure in preparing to welcome the new year.
