7200 glasses of fresh TH true Milk were gifted to residents in Hai Duong province to combat Covid-19 pandemic

Despite unfavourable weather with rain and freezing cold, in the early morning of Monday, April 13th, 150 cartons of milk were arrived at the Committee of Hai Duong Red Cross, in preparation for giving ceremony. 

The event was included in the program of giving 1 million glasses of fresh TH true MILK, equivalent to more than 8,2 billions VND, to the frontline forces fighting Covid-19 pandemic and quarantined people. This meaningful project has been implemented by TH Group and For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) with Committee of Vietnamese Fatherland Front from March 10th on several provinces and cities along the country. 

Hundred thousand glasses of TH true MILK were brought to “hot” Covid prevention spots, which consisted of 20,000 glasses for Truc Bach residents and Vinh Phuc ward (Hanoi); more than 100,000 glasses for nurses and doctors at Bach Mai hospital, National Hospital of Tropical Diseases and National Pediatric Hospital (Hanoi); 100,000 glasses for soldiers, doctors and Covid prevention forces at Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces,etc. 

TH is one of the pioneering enterprises partnering with the government on the battle against Covid-19 pandemic. Up to now, the enterprises directly led by Madame Thai Huong such as TH Group and BAC A BANK, through VSF, has sponsored 15 billions VND, in which 5 billions VND was sponsored to buy medical equipment and masks for  hospitals; more than 8.2 billions VND on the program of giving 1 million glasses of TH true MILK to the frontline forces; 2 billions on ventilators and other charitable activities. 

Enhancing the efficiency of prevention work.

Giving fresh milk is a special gift for Covid prevention forces as well as Hai Duong residents at this moment. So far, Hai Duong province has had over 1700 quarantined cases, in which more than 300 cases are quarantined at medical concentrations. Moreover, the province’s functional forces such as police, armies, medical centres have made restless efforts on Covid prevention, for example, doing duty at checkpoints, expanding patrols, strictly controlling the number of immigrants and emigrants, instructing prevention work,...

Delivering a speech at the giving ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Trung Dung, Head of Social Work of Hai Duong Red Cross said: “The support of TH Group for Hai Duong province is eminently valuable in this current circumstance when the number of quarantined people has  suddenly  increased due to the outbreak of the disease at Bach Mai hospital. The products are practical and healthy gifts to the people in quarantine and those directly doing prevention work”.

Comrade Nguyen Van The, President of Hai Duong Red Cross, told us that the provincial Red Cross will give those amounts of fresh milk to Hai Duong Health Service Department and Thanh Mien Steering Committee of Covid-19 prevention with an aim to gift residents in Thanh Mien district, which has had only one patient positive to Covid virus up till now in the whole province, and nurses, doctors as well as medical staff. 

“We will hand the gifts to those in need to enhance the efficiency of prevention work. We also hope that in the time coming, TH Group will continue joining hands with Hai Duong province in Covid Prevention, fostering the tradition of solidarity of Vietnamese people”.
