After a long Tet holiday filled with warm reunions and bustling spring festivals, the children sponsored by the Growing up with mountainous children project for semi-boarding meals have returned to school with a joyful spirit, ready for their educational journey in the Year of the Horse 2026. According to teachers, during these first days of the year, class attendance has remained stable and the children have quickly caught up with their studies and settled back into their boarding routines.

At Sang Xoay school site (Thai Son Kindergarten), excitement was visible on every face as the children reunited with friends and teachers after the Lunar New Year. Mr. Nong Van Long, the teacher in charge of the site, shared: “The children are clearly much happier to see their teachers and friends again; everyone is eager as they turn a year older.”

The joy of early spring extends beyond the Northern mountains to classrooms in Dak Lak province. At Hoa Binh school site (Son Dinh Kindergarten), teachers spent the first days of the year creating a gentle atmosphere for students before returning to their regular academic pace. Ms. Nguyen Thi Te, the teacher of the senior kindergarten class, noted that the school organized opening activities, new year greetings and gave "lucky money" to the children. The teachers also captured early spring photos and organized small games to help the children reintegrate into school life with a happy and relaxed mindset.

From these warm beginnings, VSF wishes the students and teachers a peaceful new year, full of health, positive energy and immense joy. We hope that every day at school for both teachers and students is a happy day, so that the laughter and excitement of the children may resonate throughout the entire school year!
