Giving nearly 3 million glasses of milk and drinks to medical staff and people in quarantine areas to improve their health in order to fight the Covid-19 pandemic

Over the past 1 year since the Covid-19 outbreak, TH Group, Bac A Bank, through For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) have strongly and promptly supported and mobilized medical staff who are on the frontline of the fight against the pandemic and also the people, especially children in quarantined areas.

On the afternoon of May 17, representatives of 3 units gave Vietnam National Union of Health Workers 39,000 glasses of fresh milk and drinks. They are distributed to some central and local hospitals, especially two hospitals in Hanoi which are put under lockdown, namely Tan Trieu Hospital K, National Hospital of Tropical Diseases, and Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC Hanoi).

These glasses of milk and drinks are part of a total of nearly 500,000 ones that TH Group, Bac A Bank - through the VSF gave directly to the healthcare sector (and they were transferred to Vietnam National Children's Hospital; Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Hospital and Viet Duc University Hospital) and Vinh Phuc, Ha Nam, Nghe An, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang province... from May 6 to the end of May 2021.

Besides, TH Group, Bac A Bank through VSF have planned to coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Training to give nearly 500,000 glasses of fresh milk to children in quarantined areas and in difficult circumstances across the country. On May 19, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training presented 70,500 glasses of milk to children in quarantine areas in Hai Duong, Bac Ninh and Bac Giang province. The rest will be given on June 1st (International Children's Day).

Also on May 19, three units gave 24,000 glasses of milk to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to send to young volunteers who are straining against the pandemic in Bac Giang province.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thanh Binh, President of Vietnam National Union of Health Workers (Ministry of Health) highly appreciated the spirit and social responsibility and the President of Vietnam Trade Union expressed his sincere thanks to the leaders and staff of 3 units who have joined hands with the healthcare sector during Covid19 pandemic.

With the spirit of solidarity and sympathy, three units will continue to give gifts when it is necessary to accompany the healthcare sector and the people of the country to overcome the pandemic.

In the first outbreak in March 2020, VSF, TH Group and Bac A Bank quickly launched a program to gave 1 million glasses of TH true MILK fresh milk, two ventilators worth nearly 2 billion VND, medical equipment and masks worth more than 5 billion VND to hospitals, medical centers, and quarantine areas in localities.

In May 2021, more than 1 million glasses of milk and healthy drinks were given to areas that are heavily affected by the pandemic with a total value of nearly 8 billion VND. Up to now, after 4 gift-giving trips, the number of gifts has increased 3 times than expected (to nearly 3 million glasses of milk and fruit juice) and the total value of the gifts reached nearly 30 billion VND.
