Heart-warming glasses of milk

On the morning of April 7th 2020, on behalf of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) and Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (BAC A BANK), staff from BAC A BANK -Quang Binh branch visited and presented 1,300 glasses of fresh milk to officials, soldiers and doctors on duty in the provincial quarantine area located at Battalion 1, Regiment 996, Provincial Military Command.

Battalion 1 is located in Viet Trung Farm Town, Bo Trach District, where is used to isolate cases returning from pandemic areas or contacting people returning from countries or territories where Covid-19 affected. Most of the cases are Vietnamese people returning from Laos and Thailand with a wide range of ages and professions.

Being quite far from the city center, the health quarantine area is quite deserted. The soldiers and medical staff working there leave their own personal concerns behind, they have only one thought: dedicate themselves to people. Some optimistic soldiers shared: "Our barrack has never been so crowded and exciting! Every day, after seeing the isolated people coming back home, no one gets sick, we are overjoyed”.

In response to VSF’s movement of fighting against Covid-19 pandemic, BAC A BANK Quang Binh branch called for support of a day’s salary from each staff member to share the hardships with officials, soldiers and doctors who are directly on duty and the citizens in quarantine at Battalion I.
