The online talk “Happy meal - Healthy family” is organized by Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD) in collaboration with For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) to share useful information for mothers.
The online talk “Happy meal - Healthy family” had the participation of MS. Le Thi Thu Ha - Lecturer of Nutrition course, University of Public Health and M.A Nguyen Minh Hoang - The Program Officer of VSF.
The speakers shared about balanced and adequate nutrition, the ensured methods for children's physical health, and the advice to make every child's meal a joy, not an “engagement”, especially during the pandemic period.
From the perspective of a nutritionist, MS. Le Thi Thu Ha emphasized the significance of nutrition and gave the most important principles in ensuring balanced nutrition for children: Eating at least three times per day with diverse foods combines with exercising to enhance health and resistance.
It is considered to help your child be interested in eating and helping them to eat more diversified food if you flexibly change the preparation of the menu every day.
It is thought that every meal is like combat in many families, which faces the intimidation, force-feeding, sobbing children. M.A Nguyen Minh Hoang shared: “We need to remember that eating if it is not happy, it will not only harm the digestive progress but also considerably affect the psychology of children. Children are not a food mill. Let’s listen and respect their wishes so that they are comfortable with eating. Let meals become affectionate and loving things in your family, not persistent fear and obsess”.
