On May 23-25, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) organized the "Sunny Season of Pac Miau" trip to visit and encourage ethnic children who are being sponsored with meals from the "Growing up with mountainous preschool students" project in Bao Lam district, Cao Bang province. 22 volunteers from TH Group, BAC A BANK, and other units attended the trip.

The volunteers traveled over 400 km from Hanoi to Pac Miau town and spent another 2 hours riding on motorbikes on a steep, difficult mountain pass, with one side a mountain and the other a deep abyss, to visit 4 school sites of  Khau Noong, Na O (Thach Lam Kindergarten) and Sang Xoay, Ban La (Thai Son Kindergarten), Bao Lam district, Cao Bang province.

Here, the volunteers met, interacted with, had fun, and gave gifts to the children. The gifts include boots and blankets for students of Khau De and Ban La school sites (Thai Son Kindergarten), and uniform sets of shirts and shorts for students of Khau Noong and Na Ó school sites (Thach Lam Kindergarten). Volunteers also gave the children donated toys following the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation call for donations. After that, the volunteers prepared delicious, hot meals for the children to enjoy.

The volunteers were all very moved and impressed when witnessing the difficulties and deprivation the students had to deal with to go to school every day.

“This is the second time I have come to Sang Xoay school. I can see a clear change in the students here. The children have grown up, are faster, and more active compared to the last time I met them. I am very excited and happy to see the children grow up with every day.” (volunteer Nguyen Van Thiet, Hanoi).

"Traveling 12 hours from Hanoi to Pac Mieu town, the furthest district which is 171 km from Cao Bang city. From Doan town, we had to travel dozens of kilometers to reach the remote kindergartens. No words can describe the roads stretching dozens of kilometers. The roads don't seem to be roads, they’re probably well-traveled paths. There are steep slopes, making you purse your lips and sit still, hold on tightly, afraid of falling." (volunteer Vu Thi Thuong, Lang Son)

"I feel that this is a very meaningful activity, giving me the opportunity to directly help the children, to experience their journey to school every day. When I meet the children, I experience many emotions ranging from sympathy, and understanding, to joy and excitement when children rush out to greet me. I wish I could do more for them." (volunteer Le Huyen Linh, Hanoi)

VSF would like to sincerely thank the sponsors who have accompanied and supported the "Growing up with mountainous preschool students" project in the 2023-2024 school year. VSF hopes to continue to receive support from sponsors for the project "Growing up with mountainous preschool students" in the upcoming school years!

Thank you to the volunteers for not being hesitant of long distances, actively participating in supporting the project, and bringing "sunshine" and love to mountainous areas. Thanks to the enthusiasm and help of our volunteers, the trip was a success.
