With desire of offering more opportunities to drink free school milk to kindergarten and elementary children coming from poor families in Quy Hop district (Nghe An) within a year, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) has built an internal fundraising plan named Family Day – which is scheduled to take place in the coming October.

At the end of 2016 -2017 school year, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation visited some schools with a lot of extremely disadvantaged children, which were Kindergarten in Chau Cuong village and Kindergarten – Elementary School in Chau Hong village. After working with Department of Education and Training and The School Board in Quy Hop village, VSF visited families of some children living in very poor condition. “For Vietnamese Stature Foundation” came to share difficulties with their families, look for opportunities to help those children to benefit from school nutrition like their friends, in order to develop both stature and strength for a brighter future.

Chieu, Linh's children are very heavy malnutrition, but now have escaped this situation, better health to study, have fun with you.

During the following day, VSF came to Chau Hong to visit the families of kindergarten and elementary school children who were in extremely difficult circumstances. When we arrived at the tin mine in Quy Hop village, we partly understood their difficult life. But what made us even more obsessed were the images of their family. At Chau Hong Nursery School, there were 7 children whose fathers died in the collapse of the tin mining, so their mothers must become breadwinner in the family; some children have fathers but their mothers left away or went to jail.

Le Thi Bao Ngoc also sad orphaned. Her father died because of a labor accident, her mother was sick. Bao Ngoc and her mother have been supported by the Women's Union for the gratitude house on the land of grandparents.

With desire of improving both physical and mental health of Vietnamese people in general and Vietnamese children in particular, especially for disadvantaged children by school milk, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) has been promoting fundraising activities for School Milk Program. That fund will support poor and near-poor children so that they can benefit from the Program in the context of tight government’s budget.

Being a charitable, social and non-profit foundation, VSF carried out a lot of visiting and giving donation to poor children and families in vulnerable condition. In detail, via Ministry of Education and Training, VSF donated one million glasses of milk to disadvantaged children in September 2015; presented milk to students in Ly Son, Quang Ngai; Through Red Cross Organization, VSF donated 600.000 glasses of milk to poor children in Tay Nguyen.
