Update on the fundraising campaign for renovating My Ly 1 Ethnic Boarding Primary School

After nearly two months of implementation, the fundraising campaign for renovating My Ly 1 Boarding Primary School for Ethnic Minorities has completed 2/3 of its journey, raising over 1.2 billion VND from 179 individuals and organizations. Thanks to these contributions, teachers and students in the border area are now getting closer to have a more modern and safer learning and living environment.

However, to achieve the goal of 1.9 billion VND in phase 1, the campaign still needs more support and contributions from donors to help 345 students improve their learning conditions. Every donation, big or small, will continue to make their dream of studying in solid classrooms, having proper bathrooms, etc. come true

Phase 1 activities include: building new dormitories, a kitchen, toilets, and a playground.

The renovation and upgrading project for My Ly 1 Boarding Primary School is part of the series of activities celebrating the 10th anniversary of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF). The project has a total estimated budget of 5.15 billion VND, divided into three phases, with Phase 1 scheduled for 2024.

The project is implemented by VSF in partnership with Nong Thon Ngay Nay Newspaper/Dan Viet Online. This milestone marks a decade of VSF’s dedication to improving educational conditions for children in remote areas and enhancing social welfare.

Previously, VSF has built and renovated numerous schools in disadvantaged areas, to support local communities in achieving sustainable development goals and giving children in these regions a brighter future.
