Dear Partners, friends and benefactors of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation.

From February 2023, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) will publish a monthly newsletter to update information about ongoing activities. We are pleased to inform you of the notable philanthropy and development activities in the February newsletter below.

Currently, these activities are included in 5 core programs of VSF, including:

- School Nutrition

- Child Protection

- Young Talent Nurturing

- Action for Environment

- Health Care for Reproductive-Aged Women

In addition, VSF is performing activities promoting gender equality, as well as philanthropy and humanitarian aid activities.

Sponsored 15 billion dong for the construction of gratitude houses in Nghe An
At the Launching Ceremony to mobilize and assist in the establishment of houses for the poor and disadvantaged people in Nghe An province and in the meeting of Nghe An business people in Hanoi, TH Group and BAC A BANK via VSF donated 15 billion VND to support the building of 300 gratitude houses for people from disadvantaged backgrounds in Nghe An.

In the past month, 10 gratitude houses were inaugurated and handed over to families with extremely disadvantaged backgrounds in the highlands - Na Ngoi, Ky Son district, Nghe An province. 

Groundbreaking ceremony of 20 “Restrooms for children” in Lao Cai

20 restrooms in schools worth 1.1 billion VND continued to break ground in Lao Cai in February. This is the following activity under the project of constructing 1,000 restrooms in schools belonging to the program’s framework "Wishes for Children", which is carried out under the cooperation of VSF, TH Group, BAC A BANK, Vietnam Volunteer Center of Central Committee.

Encourage women journalists pioneering for the environment
VSF is calling for participants for the award “Pioneering Women Journalist for the Environment” with a total value of 85 million VND. 12 awards will be given to authors with the most impressive entries about the environment in 2022. Deadline for final submission is on March 5th 2023.

The dialogue “Dialogue - Closing the policy gaps of plastic and plastic waste” held on February 28th received great response and appreciation from the stakeholders. The event is the connection, helping many other parties access more information and together propose the optimal solutions for Sustainable Development Goals.

Training course “Storytelling”
Over 30 young journalists and communication officers attended the training course “Storytelling” belonged to the project “No Voice - No Equal Future”, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam and the reciprocal budget from the “Moon of Hope” program. The objective of the project is to give more voice and more participation to ethnic minorities youth and young journalists in promoting equality, specifically, gender equality.

Report on “Tet for the poor” program 2022

Over 8.2 billion VND is the total amount of money that VSF, TH Group, BAC A BANK and NASU donated to people with disadvantaged backgrounds, policy beneficiaries, poor households, and agent orange victims within the framework of the “Tet for the Poor 2023” program. The total number of beneficiaries in 10 provinces reaches up to nearly 36,000 people.

The unification of VSF’s annual action plan in 2023
VSF held the review meetings of activities in 2022 and developed an action plan for 2023, with the goal of optimizing resources, expanding cooperative strategies; bringing the best benefits to the beneficiaries, and maintaining and further promoting the cooperation of individuals, organizations, and enterprises”.

In 2022, VSF gained many impressive achievements such as: won 3 domestic and international awards; raised 52.3 billion VND and implemented a series of development and charity projects with more than 922,000 beneficiaries; expanded the cooperative network with enterprises, NGOs, etc.

Survey at Bua Coc school site, Hoa Binh

On February 24th, VSF and BAC A BANK Youth Union cooperated with Hoa Binh province and Da Bac district to carry out a survey at the Bua Coc school site of Suoi Nanh primary and secondary school (Nanh Nghe commune, Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province).

The survey is to evaluate the current situation and needs of the school site to form a basis for building classes and supplementary construction for Bua Coc school site. According to the cooperative plan, construction expenditure for the school site will be donated by BAC A BANK Youth Union along with the reciprocal budget of VSF and related parties.

The training course “ Child sexual abuse prevention” at An Tien Secondary School

In the project’s framework “Scarlet Sails” phase 2, VSF cooperated with Hai Phong City Women's Union to host the training course “Child sexual abuse prevention” for 30 students who are leaders of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer organization at their classes. The entire budget for activities in the project’s Phase 2 was deducted from the fundraising program "Moon Flavor" in 2022.
