3,200 blue collar workers benefited from the project "For mother and baby - For Vietnamese Stature” phase 5

“Project’s activities are extremely meaningful in timely supporting workers, providing additional knowledge and helping them to overcome hurdles for a better life.”

That is a sharing of Ms. Nguyen Thi Lam, representative of Department of Publicity and Education, Vinh Phuc Province Confederation of Labour in the project "For mother and baby - For Vietnamese stature”’s closing ceremony on April 17.  Vinh Phuc Province Confederation of Labour highly appreciates the project's effectiveness in communication activities and financial support for workers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.

In 4 provinces: Vinh Phuc, Ha Nam, Hai Phong and Nghe An, the project had organized 12 communication sessions for workers, 1 training course for medical staff, trade union officials of enterprises, and other activities like online support activities on psychology, nutritional care and reproductive health, connecting social services for workers and children.

In particular, in the two main areas, the project also awarded 500 financial packages to employees who are raising children affected by COVID-19, which are worth 250 million VND and 5 workers infected with COVID with serious medical conditions were also supported with treatment costs with a total value of 25 million VND.

In addition, the project also organized an itinerant health check (2 days), helping 800 workers in Ha Nam receive free health checks.

With the theme "Supporting for physical and mental recovery for low-income workers in factories - industrial parks and children affected by Covid-19", a total of 3,200 workers benefited after 10 months of project implementation.

The project "For mother and baby - For Vietnamese stature" belongs to the core program “Health care for women of reproductive age” of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation. In 2022, the implementation partners of the project "For mother and baby - For Vietnamese stature" are the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Hoa Linh Pharmaceutical Company and the Labor Confederations of Ha Nam and Vinh Phuc provinces.

Funding for the implementation of the project is taken from the fundraising campaign "Spreading true happiness" in 2021 (with the participation of employees of TH Group, BAC A BANK) and the companionship of Golden Choice Company in the development of the project.
