8.8 BILLION VND sponsored for social welfare activities in Dien Bien Province

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), Bac A Bank, and TH Group sponsor 8.8 billion VND to implement social welfare and repaying gratitude activities in Dien Bien through the People's Army Newspaper.

Specifically, at the To Điện Biên Phủ 2024 cycling race organized by People's Army Newspaper Cup 2024, as a volunteer partner, VSF contributed 249,136 VND for every kilometer conquered in the race. The total of 35,322 kilometers from 70 cyclists corresponded to the 8.8 billion VND sponsored by VSF, Bac A Bank, and TH Group for this meaningful event.

Accordingly, the three units will:

- Build boarding schools for students in Dien Bien province worth 6.5 billion VND

- Construct 10 houses, each valued at 50 million VND for former soldiers, youth volunteers, and contributors from Nghe An who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign

- Build 30 school sanitation facilities, each valued at 60 million VND, at various schools in Hoa Binh, Son La, and Lai Chau provinces.

On May 5th, representatives from VSF and Bac A Bank, along with local leaders, conducted on-site surveys for the construction of these boarding schools.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Chu Nguyen Binh, Deputy General Director of Bac A Bank, on behalf of the parties, stated: "Bac A Bank and For Vietnamese Stature Foundation are honored to accompany the To Điện Biên Phủ 2024 cycling race organized by People's Army Newspaper, as a gift of gratitude to Dien Bien province - the heroic land."

Therefore, the employees deeply understand and devote their efforts, resources to implement. Every year, the three unit allocate budgets ranging from tens to hundreds of billions of VND to implement social welfare activities nationwide.

"Previously, BAC A  Bank, along with For Vietnamese Stature Foundation, sponsored the construction of 300 solidarity houses for poor residents in Dien Bien province, supported the construction of the Tham Pung School in Hua Mun, Pu Xi commune, Dien Bien Province; implemented livelihood support programs for women affected by violence in Muong Ang district, Dien Bien province, with interest-free loans, and many other meaningful activities," Mr. Binh added.
