For Vietnamese Stature Foundation announces the transfer of over 50 million VND, originally raised to build a playground at Ha Son Primary School, to support Nghia Xuan Primary School - Dinh Phuong campus (Nghe An), as the project for Ha Son Primary School has been included in the Government's investment plan.

Dear Donors,

From May 27 to June 27, 2025, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) launched a community fundraising campaign with a target of 50 million VND to build a playground for students at Ha Son Primary School in Quy Hop commune, Nghe An province. Thanks to the support of 111 donors, the campaign successfully surpassed its goal, with a total of 50,251,665 VND raised.

Your support was not only a valuable material resource but also a great source of encouragement for the school and students. Immediately after the campaign concluded, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation and the school worked together to promptly begin the necessary preparations for the playground's construction.

However, in July 2025, while seeking construction approval from the new Minh Hop commune authorities (after the recent administrative merger and under the two-tier government model), we were informed that Ha Son Primary School is one of the projects in the comprehensive renovation investment planning of People's Committee of Minh Hop commune, with a total budget of 980 million VND from the central government budget under the National Target Program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous regions. The school playground, which was the focus of our fundraising campaign, is already included in this investment plan.

This was wonderful news, demonstrating the government's strong commitment to improving students' learning conditions. However, it also required us to adjust our plan for using the raised funds to avoid overlapping investments and ensure the highest possible impact from social resources.

After receiving this information, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation proactively worked with the Principal of Ha Son Primary School, local authorities and other relevant parties to find a suitable alternative. Simultaneously, we reviewed the actual needs of many other schools, prioritizing those in remote areas that lack playgrounds and have limited access to public funding. Based on the criteria of urgency, student impact, and feasibility, Nghia Xuan Primary School - Dinh Phuong school site in Tam Hop commune, Nghe An province has been selected.

Therefore, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation would like to request permission to use the entire raised amount of 50,251,665 VND to support the construction of a playground for the students at Nghia Xuan Primary School - Dinh Phuong school site in Tam Hop commune, Nghe An province.

We believe that this adjustment, guided by the principle of “the right place, at the right time, for the right people,” does not alter the campaign's overall objective: to create a safe and healthy learning and recreational space for students in disadvantaged regions. This approach also allows us to maximize the impact of every loving contribution from our community.

Once again, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation and Ha Son Primary School would like to send our deepest gratitude to all the donors who have supported us. We sincerely hope to continue receiving your trust and support on our journey for the children of Vietnam.

Sincerely.

ABOUT NGHIA XUAN PRIMARY SCHOOL - DINH PHUONG SCHOOL SITE

The Dinh Phuong school site of Nghia Xuan Primary School is located in Tam Hop commune, Quy Hop district, Nghe An province, where nearly 300 students, over 60% of whom are from ethnic minority communities, attend classes every day in challenging conditions. The majority of parents are farmers with limited incomes, making it almost impossible to mobilize resources to improve the school's facilities.

While local authorities have helped build new classrooms, the schoolyard remains low-lying and unpaved, frequently floods and becomes slippery in the rainy season, posing many dangers to both teachers and students. In front of the new classroom block, the school has only been able to temporarily lay down crushed stone for students to walk on; however, this is not a sustainable solution, as it quickly deteriorates and does not ensure safety. The school has not yet received a budget allocation to raise the ground level, flatten the yard, and pave it with concrete.

The school's administration is calling for support from organizations, businesses, and individuals to build a solid, well-maintained schoolyard to provide students with a safe and clean environment for learning and help them build a stronger foundation for their future. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help these students take a more secure step forward on their path to knowledge.
