This afternoon (February 6th 2018), For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) coordinated with Vietnam National Children’s Hospital to organize a sponsorship program for poor pediatric patients at the hospital. This is one of the charitable programs that VSF focused on children before and during Tet holiday (Lunar New Year celebration)

Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang – Director of VSF gave financial support to poor patients at Vietnam National Children’s Hospital

"On the threshold of Lunar New Year, each individual is heading to his/her native place and hopes to have a cosy New Year holiday with family. Poor patients at Vietnam National Children’s Hospital who have to be under treatment away from their home must be worried. These motivational sources will help them and their families not only feel the warmth of compassion but also have more money to get the children to be treated more positively, "- said Tran Thi Nhu Trang - Director of VSF.

Mr. Tran Duy Duc, father of patient Tran Duy Long at Dong Beo, Dong Tien, Thanh Hoa province, representing 10 poor patients' familes who receive financial assistance, said: "Our family makes a living by farming. Long is the second son in our family, unfortunately, he incures 3-line immune disease. My son can be implemented bone marrow tranplant with me as a bone marrow donor, but the family has no conditions to do the graft. Receiving 10 million VND from For Vietnamese Stature Foundation, we are very touched. Without benefactors, our child do not have the chance to survive."

This meaningful activity is to share and motivate the children to overcome the pain and to express the concern and sharing of the community to their families. All the fund was from the sales of fundraising products, such as lucky envelops, notebooks, "For true happiness" shirts and from a number of other sources. The total amount of this grant is 39 million VND for 10 cases of patients.

Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang – Director of VSF shared emotions with parents of the patients and wished positive treatment results would occur soon

On this occasion, VSF also visited three patients: Luong Duc Khoi,  Bui Ngoc Thach and Dang Minh Vuong. Luong Duc Khoi - Thai ethnic patient in Hong Chau commune, Bac Yen district, Son La province is the only child in the family. His family is in difficult situation now, so his parents have to borrow money to take him to the hospital for treatment. The second patient is Bui Ngoc Thach. He is also suffering from severe encephalitis who is currently undergoing mechanical ventilation and long-term treatment. His parents are also famers, making ends meet, and the family is a near-poor household of Dong Bac commune, Kim Boi district, Hoa Binh province. The third patient given the visit of VSF was Dang Minh Vuong, residing at Nhan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province. His poor family has 3 children; the parents do farming all year round but not enough to eat. At the moment, Vuong's mother had to go to the hospital to take care of him so  that she cannot work. Therefore, his family’s financial status is exhausted

Ms. Duong Thi Minh Thu, Head of Social Work at Vietnam National Children’s Hospital, said: "The fact that patients treated at Vietnam National Children’s Hospital have parents who want to leave the hospital because they do not have enough money at the threshold of New Year. Severely ill patients at the hospital received gifts both mentally and physically as a tonic. We are very happy to have the support of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation as well as other benefactors and hope that VSF will continue to accompany us."

Previously, on February 05 2018, VSF also organized a donation of more than 500 Tet gifts to poor children in the floodplain of Muong Bang - Phu Yen district - Son La province with mutual sympathy.
