Collaboration to promote gender-responsibility-based business

These training activities and seminars in Vietnam include:

- Training sexual harassment prevention on workplace

- Seminar on Gender-responsibility-based Business

- Training on experiential games promoting gender equality

These activities have been implemented in Song Ma district, Son La province with the participation of leaders and employees of enterprises, local investors and farmer group leaders/deputies.

“So far, I thought gender equality was theoretical, not related to business. But now, I see the importance of gender equality in my business. Gender equality will help me achieve my business dreams and important life values” – said a business leader

“For the first time I realized that women are doing a lot of housework such as cooking, cleaning, taking care of children/elderly; while men do not really consider housework as a common responsibility” - said a  female farmer

“From now on, when we organize technical training, we will try to use the ethnic language instead of Kinh language or use other methods such as games instead of just writing to encourage the participation of female farmers. If there are no trainers who can speak the national language, an interpreter is needed” – said a  local investor

These are just a few of the many enthusiastic and positive comments from the participants.

It is expected that in January 2022, Ms. Tran Hong Diep - Deputy Director of VSF, will continue to provide technical advice to CARE International in Vietnam in organizing community events with local partners, farmer households in Song Ma district, Son La province. Accordingly, farmer group leaders/deputies will directly run experiential games promoting gender equality to spread meaningful messages about gender equality.
