Completed VND1,058,985,330 disbursement of program "Overcoming floods with the Central Region - An mission from the heart”

In order to support people in the central region to rebuild their lives after natural disasters, from December 19, 2020, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) officially launched the fundraising program "Overcoming floods with the Central Region - An mission from the heart”. By the end of December 4, 2020, the program has received VND1,058,985,330 from 55 individuals and 31 organizations/groups. Accordingly, VSF has used sponsorships to actively implement activities to rebuild people's lives after floods, including:

Giving ten 2-ton lifeboats to the People's Committee of Ba Don town and the People's Committee of Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province.
Giving 541 gift sets, each worth 700,000 VND to primary school students in the flood-prone area of Hai Hung commune, Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province
Supporting 49 households that severely affected by floods
Donating 26 sets of 5-point anchors for the project "Flood Proof Houses" to support pontoon houses for people in Quang Binh province
Coordinating with Tien Phong Newspaper to survey and restore My Phu school site of Phong Chuong Primary School, Phong Chuong commune (Phong Dien district, Thua Thien Hue province and 02 clinics in Ha Tinh province)

This support helps thousands of people, especially children overcome difficulties caused by floods, and hundreds of families settled down and avoided risks to life and health.

VSF would like to thank the sponsors, organizations, individuals and volunteers who have always believed and accompanied the program during the past time. We have not only offered emergency support to people in the central region during the flood season, but also provided comprehensive solutions to help them recover after natural disasters and have prevention for extreme weather.
