For Vietnamese Stature Foundation gave gifts to repair the damage of flood in Vi Xuyen, Ha Giang.

In last June, the biggest flood for 52 years has hit Lai Chau, Ha Giang and some provinces in North-west Vietnam, which caused heavy death toll. Flood and mudslide had damaged many houses, farmland and isolated remoted places in border area.

Thuan Hoa commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province is one of the most damaged. Mr. Vi Quoc Trung, president of Thuan Hoa People’s committee said: “The flood damaged up to 263 houses, 53 of which were severely destroyed and caused severe catastrophe to property and plantation. The B primary school also bore the heavy destruction. High level of water and mud caused walls to collapse; two rooms were subsided, walls of dormitory were unsafely cracked and unusable. Teaching facilities were completely destroyed.

Following the call of State Bank, thanks to the sponsorship of 100.000.000 VND from Bac A Bank and 4.800 cups of clean and fresh milk from TH Group, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation came to The B primary school in Thuan Hoa commune, Vi Xuyen district in Ha Giang province to help repair damages after flood.

4.800 cups of fresh and clean milk were directly given to 50 most severely damaged houses in the flood, helping their children improve nutrition in the recovery period. In the future, Thuan Hoa People’s Committee and the B primary school will co-operate to effectively utilize 100.000.000 VND to repair damaged teaching facilities.

For Vietnamese Stature hopes that this financial support will help children and families in Thuan Hoa commune to get over this hard period, get children back to school and prepare for the new schoolyear”.
