From September 4-8, 2023, Mrs. Tran Hong Diep, Deputy Director of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) convened with experts from 18 countries across the globe to delve into the intricacies of international United Nations conventions and the operational processes of treaty monitoring bodies.
Regarding the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), Mrs. Tran Hong Diep shared her valuable insights and lessons learned in promoting gender equality, addressing gender-based violence, and ensuring children welfare in Vietnam.
Additionally, the organizers allowed participants to visit and work at the headquarters of the Norwegian Parliamentary Ombudsman and the Norwegian Nobel Institute.
The Norwegian Government sponsored all expenses for the participants, including travel and accommodation.
