Granting VND 10 billion to support house renovation for 188 poor households in Dien Bien province

Under the activity, 188 thatched-roof and degraded houses of households with low income in Chieng So, Keo Lom, and Pu Nhi communes will be replaced by fortified houses. Each household was granted VND 15 to 55 million based on the current status of their house and the type of renovation required.

This activity contributes to the socio-economic development of Dien Bien Dong district in particular and Dien Bien province in general.

In late 2021 - early 2022, VSF has actively coordinated with Dien Bien’s Fatherland Front Committee to implement relevant activities to disburse 50% of the budget for the households on Lunar New Year. The remaining 50% will be disbursed when the construction of the houses completes.

Dien Bien is a mountainous and border province with many difficulties. There are 25,000 poor households in the province, accounting for 30% of the total households. Many of them are living in temporary, dilapidated, or degraded houses.

With this timely support, VSF and BAC A BANK hope the households will have a more stable and better life.
