More than a share

In our lives, everyone has their own choice. There is a woman who has vigorously chosen motherhood to be the most precious thing in her life, despite all the prejudices of people around her. She is Tran Thi Cay, in Soc Son, in the outskirt of Hanoi. Admiring her strength,TH Group and the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation have given her a gift that is more than a share.

Her life has been through too much disadvantages. She was born with the disabilities and had to struggle for livelihood. Despite all of them, she always thinks she is a lucky person. The house does not have the shadow of a man, thus, the worries have been placed on her shoulders for long time. Although her hands are crippled, whenever her child sleeps, she enlists to do everything with her handicapped but skillful legs to earn their living, from washing dishes, clothes to breeding cows… However, since she had Co, she has been dreaming more, working harder to take care of her kid, hoping she is exposed to a fine education and a firm future. Each month, she and Co receive a subsidy about one million dong. With this amount of money, she must spend frugally to able to afford their living costs. Whenever hospitalizing, she always needs the help from her brothers and sisters in family. She said the biggest wish of her life was to take care of her child regardless of the harshness of life.

Knowing that, in the afternoon of June 30, 2007, on the occasion of Vietnam Television’s recording day, Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang - Director of the VSF has met, listened and shared with the sincere and close affection for her. On behalf of TH Group and the VSF, Mrs. Tran Thi Nhu Trang officially gave Mrs. Cay and her child, Co, 2,880 glasses of TH true MILK (equivalent to 5 years of free milk) and 30 million ( monthly 500,000 VND for 5 consecutive years). In addition to sharing, the VSF is also a friend of Mrs. Cay (35 years old), Co (2 years old) and wishes with this contribution she and her baby will have a stable life.

Touched by the surprise gift, she could not hide happy tears. Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang has given her a warm hug with the message: "Through the VSF, fresh milk by TH true MILK will help children including Co to improve stature and health. I hope you always stay strong, Mrs. Cay. The VFS will always be with you! "
