Overview of fundraising project "Growing up with mountainous preschool students" in Thach Lam Kindergarten and call for fundraising in 03 new schools - Thai Son Kindergarten

For Vietnamese Stature Foundation would like to thank the enthusiastic support from more than 70 individuals and organizations for their contribution to help mountainous preschool students have enough nutritious lunches and improve their physical and mental health.

With the fact that not only students at Thach Lam Kindergarten, but also many students at other schools are facing the same difficulties everyday, we have shared about the project and get connected with Thai Son Kindergarten, Thai Son Commune, Bao Lam District, Cao Bang Province to continue to sponsor all 110 children at 3 school sites: Ban La, Sang Xoay and Khau De. This is also the wish of many donors after the goal of the first fundraising for the project has been achieved.

Thai Son Kindergarten has 9 school sites, of which the three most difficult ones have 100% ethnic minority students (87% of H’Mong Group and 13% of Dao Group). The students haven’t had school lunch, their prepared lunch boxes have only plain rice and some bamboo shoots or vegetables. Nutritional conditions are not guaranteed, so all the children are underweight and stunted.

With only VND 1,700,000 / year, each child will be provided with 200 nutritious meals, ensuring health and learning capacity.

In this second fundraising call, VSF aims to raise 187,000,000 VND, from July 16 2020 to August 15, 2020 in order to promptly implement lunch sponsorship for 110 children in the new school year.

Sponsors can:

Sponsor any amount of money; or meals within 1 school year for one or more children (1,700,000 VND / 1 child)

Additional funding for any contribution to improve the learning conditions for children such as: donating bookcases, installing solar cell systems, constructing water tanks, building kitchens, etc. .
