Plastic Talk - Organizer Introduction - Green Eyes - Youth For Environment

Members of the group “Green Eyes”  are students from Academy of Journalism and Communication, Faculty of Law - VNU, University of Science and Technology, National Economics University, University of Social Sciences and Humanities. They have environmental knowledge and experience in social activities, have skills in designing, writing and communicating, especially they are enthusiastic about environmental protection activities.

The name “Green Eyes” has a special meaning: The eyes is a symbol of the young generation's perception and view on environmental issues, Green is the green color of plants and clean environment; “Green Eyes” has the meaning that the youth will be the ones who recognize the problems of the environment and promote solutions to improve them.

The mission of the group Green Eyes is to operate and develop the social media channel (fanpage Green Eyes), through the production and edition of media products in types of forms: articles, images, video clips, graphics, infographics, podcasts, etc. to spread messages about environmental protection, raise public awareness and promote action to address environmental challenges.

Until July 29th, 2021, there has been 560 posts on the fanpage Green Eyes, 3,720 likes out of 3,810 followers, 385.537 visits to Green Eyes’ posts, about 100 articles, TV news and reportages published on channel VTV6, VOV, Digital Television, Vietnamese News Agency, Hanoi Television, Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper, Tien Phong , Tuoi Tre Thu Do, Sinh vien Vietnam, Dan Viet, The Education and Times Newspaper, VietnamNews, VietnamPlus, Doi song va Phap luat, etc. 

Along with the production of news and media articles, the group Green Eyes also actively participates in the implementation of project activities such as organizing training courses, seminars, field trips, initiatives for environment, and non-profit environmental film series.

Continuing the activities to encourage the participation of the youth in solving environmental problems, as a member of the Organization Board, Green Eyes - Youth For Environment accompanies the contest PLASTIC TALK to seek creative environmental communication products for the youth. This is a contest to encourage the creativity of the youth in environmental protection, minimize plastic waste and for a greener Vietnam.
