From December 1-2, 2025, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), in coordination with the Vietnam Women’s Union Central Committee, the Khanh Hoa Women’s Union, and local authorities, provided a total of 350 million VND in support to communities affected by flooding.

Together with Ms. Tran Lan Phuong, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union, Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang, Chairwoman of VSF’s Management Board, and the working delegation, the team directly visited and delivered support to households in difficult circumstances and those severely inundated by the floods.

During the field visits, the delegation witnessed firsthand the heavy losses suffered by local residents after the floods. Although the water had receded and the rain had stopped, many households in Bac Nha Trang Ward were still haunted by memories of the historic flooding.

In a home still in disarray, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong recounted the moment when rising floodwaters forced her and her husband to hold their son and climb onto the corrugated iron roof to wait for rescue teams. Her son, now 19 years old, has suffered from epilepsy since childhood and requires constant care. Already struggling with unstable income from collecting firewood in the forest, the family now faces even greater hardship as the disaster destroyed all their belongings.

“I am deeply grateful for the care and support from the Vietnam Women’s Union Central Committee, local authorities, the local Women’s Union, and For Vietnamese Stature Foundation. The timely encouragement and assistance have given us the motivation to overcome these difficulties,” Ms. Hong shared.

Over the two days, the delegation also visited and delivered support to three families of women members and children in special circumstances, and provided assistance to 40 households in Bac Nha Trang and Nam Nha Trang wards. Each household received 1 million VND  in cash along with a gift package of essential items and TH true MILK glasses, valued at 500,000 VND per set.

The cash support provided on this occasion holds significant meaning, enabling residents to proactively purchase essential items, repair their homes, and address immediate losses after the floods. In the post-flood context, as each household’s needs differ, this form of support allows families to choose what is most necessary for them, helping them stabilize their lives sooner.

This activity is part of the continued implementation funded by community donations through the campaign “Support  People Affected by Natural Disasters and Floods in 2025.”

Previously, from the campaign’s budget, VSF had delivered cash and in-kind support to communities affected by storms and floods in Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Nghe An, Da Nang, and Hue.

Currently, VSF continues to coordinate with relevant partners to implement relief and reconstruction support activities, accompanying communities on their journey toward recovery and the restoration of stable livelihoods.
