"In the long run, this project marks a significant milestone in the school's development journey. It not only upgrades the school infrastructure but also lays the foundation for us to continue pursuing comprehensive educational goals. It is also a clear testament to the care and collective efforts of the community and organizations like For Vietnamese Stature Foundation, providing the younger generation with the best possible learning and living conditions."

Mr. Nguyen The Vinh, Principal of My Ly 1 Semi-Boarding Ethnic Primary School shared his thoughts on the long-term significance of the newly constructed dormitory for students in the remote highlands of Nghe An.

On January 20, 2025, Mr. Vinh and the school's 345 students joyfully attended the groundbreaking ceremony for a two-story dormitory featuring 10 self-contained rooms, each equipped with an en-suite bathroom, ensuring 167 semi-boarding students have a safe and comfortable place to live while attending school.

"Once completed, the facility will provide a clean, convenient, and cozy environment - warm in winter and cool in summer. The self-contained rooms will meet students' essential living needs, helping them focus on their studies without worrying about accommodations. This is not just an improvement in living conditions for the students but also a source of reassurance for parents entrusting their children to the school," Mr. Vinh added.

The renovation and upgrade project for My Ly 1 Semi-Boarding Ethnic Primary School is part of a series of activities celebrating the 10th anniversary of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF). Thanks to the support of 2,260 individuals and organizations, the first phase of the project was successfully funded within two months and officially broke ground before the Lunar New Year. This milestone marks a decade of VSF’s dedication to improving educational conditions for children in remote areas and enhancing overall social welfare.
