The sharing of Mr. Vu A Sach - father of 2 children in Khau De preschool belonging to the project "Growing up with mountainous preschool students".

“When I was informed by the teachers that my children would be supported with free nutritious meals at school, I felt very happy and reassured.”

These are the joyful sharing of Mr. Vu A Sach - parent of two children: Vu Thi Gia Linh (5 years old) and Vu Thi Kim Xuan (4 years old) - students at Khau De preschool - one of five schools in Bao Lam district (Cao Bang province) sponsored by the project of Growing up with mountainous preschool students.

When Gia Linh first went to school, as the school was unable to provide semi-boarding meals, and her family was in difficult situation, her parents only prepared meager lunches of vegetables and “mèn mén” (a typical staple dish of H’Mong made from steam ground maize) for her.

The house is 1km from the school site, if the father doesn’t take Linh and Xuan to school, they will walk by themselves. Mr. Sach said: "After the lesson, our children often excitedly talk about their school meals, how they learned to sing and played games in class and outdoors."

The excitement of Mr. Sach and his children is also the joy of VSF and the benefactors accompanying the project Growing up with mountainous preschool students. Hopefully, the nutritious semi-boarding meals have contributed to the journey for the health of Vietnamese children!

Growing up with mountainous preschool students is a large and long-term project of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation to sponsor semi-boarding meals and improve learning conditions for preschool students in many disadvantaged areas across the country.
