On an occasion of Lunar New Year 2020, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), together with Bac A Bank collaborated with Vietnamese Veteran Newspaper on giving solar panels system with a value of 102 million Dong for Nhot Lot’s border post, My Ly, Nghe An province.

This was a truly meaningful gift for the military guards at Nhot Lot’s border post which is well-known for the name of “4 NOs” : no electric lights, no cell phone waves, fresh water shortage, and no traffic roads.

The post is well located in the middle of the primeval forest, nearly 1,650 meters above sea level. Harsh climate, dense fog and sharp frosts are around the year; especially in the freezingly cold seasons, the temperature at the post often drops below the freezing point. Consequently, providing basic necessities and facilities for doing duty is still in extreme difficulties. Not only do the senior officers and the military frontier guards not have enough victuals, but they are also in  poor spirits as there aren’t electrical wires, or cell phone waves and even essential medical equipment, etc. Thus, it takes them more than 4 hours on foot to reach the nearest residential area in favourable weather conditions.

Vietnamese Veteran Newspaper gifted the solar panel system to Nhot Lot’s frontier post.

The gift was sponsored by Bac A Bank and For Vietnameses Stature Foundation (VSF)

Solar panels system in use will partly help the unit’s officers overcome the hardships in daily activities; thus assuring them carrying out mission and completing duty in order to strengthen absolute sovereignty and border security of our nation. The construction team is planning to install the solar panels before Lunar New Year 2020.

In such a delight of Lunar New Year’s arrival, Senior Colonel  Tran Hai Binh; on behalf of Nghe An military officers and frontier guards in general and Nhot Lon’s border post in particular, thanked VSF, Bac A Bank and Vietnamese Veteran Newspaper for this special gift. Concurrently, the Colonel also appreciated the empathy of the sponsor with the difficulties of the soldiers wearing green badges in President Ho Chi Minh’s hometown.
