Growing up in the new Millennium with the support and advance of 4.0 technology, Z generation has been having access to the online work environment. However, they still demonstrate the ability to work efficiently; especially, to live responsibly. The very first charitable initiative from Z generation has recently been chosen in “ Initiatives for Community” competition and will be implemented before Lunar New Year 2020.

Z generation and new lifestyle

The young generations born from 1996 onwards have early been exposed to technology and social media as the Internet has been accessible in Vietnam since 1997. Therefore, the presence of social networking sites and online media has had a great influence on the Z generation’s behaviors nowadays.

Z generation leads an open lifestyle thanks to the technological development.

Most of the young people feel comfortable living an open lifestyle, especially in an online environment. Z generation is able to express their thought and blog regularly, post their feedbacks on Yelp, record their work history on LinkedIn, share pictures on Instagram or videos on Youtube, show emotions on Twitter and have instant chats on Facebook. Obviously, spending time updating news on social networking sites has become a daily routine of this generation.

Active in social activities

Online activities do not entail this generation ignoring social activities. Sharing responsibilities with the community is one of the extracurricular activities that youngsters are still interested in. Thanks to novel approaches and the mass media, Z generation can easily deliver messages to their peers and create universal trends.

More outstandingly, Z generation is undeterred by the difficulties and always prepared to share responsibilities with the community. Particularly, there were several activities implemented in the winter and on Lunar New Year 2020 at mountainous and disadvantaged areas with the participation of the young, namely giving snug winter clothes to Van Ho students, Son La province; supporting garment workers in “I am strong” project in Thanh Hoa province, etc.

DynaGen students participated in charitable activities

in Van Ho, Son la province last October.

Most recently, Z generation, in particular DynaGen Initiatives Students, has taken part in a writing competition on “Initiatives for community” proposals. With the help of technology and the pre-hands-on experiences, the candidates had advantages of getting information, and the top 5 brilliant initiatives were picked to Debation Round, from which potential and creative initiatives will be sponsored to be implemented.

Group “Rainbow” passed Debation Round to implement “Happiness is Valuable” Initiative

for the HIV children on Lunar New Year 2020

With the central theme revolving around Love Spring 2020, the initiatives of the young people varied from collecting plastic bottles, old clothes; recycling and selling them to raise funds for disadvantaged families and needy patients to launching an online running program to raise money… However, the first chosen initiative named “Happiness Is Valuable-HIV” was from the group “Rainbow”. This new initiative aimed at helping 70 children affected by HIV at Drug-Detention Center 2, Yen Bai, Ba Vi, Hanoi to have a meaningful and cozy Tet with various interesting activities. Through the initiative, the group of youths spread a heartfelt message “The scariest thing is the look of your eyes, not the HIV children themselves”.  The initiative has been sponsored 20 million VND by For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) and will be implemented on January 19th, 2020.
