Supporting 30 million VND for a 7-year-old child who suffered from severe burn in Nghe An Province

Recently, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation cooperated with BAC A BANK - the investment consultancy for TH true MILK brand, to donate VND 30 million to T.M.Q.'s family (Yen Thanh District, Nghe An Province). The grant is to support the child to continue treatment severe burns.

T.M.Q was born in 2013 in the fifth hamlet, Phuc Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, Nghe An Province. On the 29th (according to Lunar calendar) of New Year’s Eve, the child ran and hit a hot cake pot and got burned badly. During the treatment, Q. was transferred from Yen Thanh General Hospital to Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and finally moved to the Viet Nam National Institute Of Burns. The child suffered severe burns of up to 40% and deep burns of 15% of the body's surface.

After more than 2 months of treatment, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Q. was given a temporary home treatment. Up to now, many burns have been on the cicatrization, but there are also many ulcers that have not healed. Meanwhile, it is difficult for the Q.’s family to continue going to the hospital for treatment.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tra (a teacher in Yen Thanh District, Nghe An Province) is a person who came visit directly and tried to help Q.’s family. She said: “More than 2 months since the day, Q. has not been able to walk. The child’s skin is tight and hurt. Q,’ mother told me that whenever she lets her child stand and helps him walk, Q. cried because Q. could not stand the pain”.

Through many connection channels, Ms. Tra contacted For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) and TH Group. After sending information about the child's situation to VSF, the staff of VSF actively contacted, verified, and implemented procedures to support Q.'s family.

On April 8th 2020, VSF and BAC A BANK presented 30 million VND to support T.M.Q to continue treating burns. With the grant, the family will have more financial resources to treat Q. at Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.

“At the moment I held the notice of VSF about the disbursement and fund transfer to support Q.'s family, I felt that everything was in my hands, hope surged. On behalf of Q.'s family, I would like to express my deep thanks to VSF, TH Group and BAC A BANK for the very timely support ”, Ms. Tra shared.
