The Career Mentoring Program has officially opened for registration.

CAREER MENTORING is a program designed specifically for students of the DynaGen Initiative. Its purpose is to help students gain clear career direction, access various opportunities, and experience real-world environments in their fields through the Mentor-Mentee connection activities.

I. Overview of the Career Mentoring Program

Information about the DynaGen Initiative 

The DynaGen Initiative is a student development program implemented by For Vietnamese Stature Foundation and 'Giao duc & Thoi Dai" Newspaper (Ministry of Education and Training) since 2019, with the companionship of BAC A  Bank and TH Group. The program aims to realize the vision and mission of the units to contribute to the development of talent in the young generation and support students in establishing themselves and their careers.

DynaGen is an abbreviation of "Dynamic Generation." The goal of the DynaGen Initiative is to connect and mobilize social resources to support students in maximizing their potential during their learning process, job search, career building, as well as enhancing their awareness and responsibility in participating in social activities. This will contribute to building a young, dynamic, adaptable, and socially responsible generation, thereby contributing to the development of the community and the country.

Over the course of three seasons, the program has selected and trained 180 students, provided knowledge access to 3,000 students through seminars, communication programs, supported 55 students in difficult circumstances financially, conducted 21 training sessions, seminars, forums, initiated 12 community projects implemented by members benefiting over 10,000 people, etc.

2. Purpose and Fields of Mentoring

2.1. Purpose

For Vietnamese Stature Foundation in collaboration with the ABG Leadership Institute and Mentori Vietnam Joint Stock Company, implements the Career Mentoring Program specifically for DynaGen Initiative students. The program aims to help students identify career goals, suitable jobs, and action plans to achieve their career goals. Additionally, it aims to increase confidence and competitiveness when participating in the labor market.

2.2. Mentoring Fields

The ABG Leadership Institute and Mentori Vietnam will support connecting DynaGen Initiative students with experienced Mentors in various fields to share essential skills and provide career mentoring for students.

The mentoring fields include:

★ Education - Training

★ Environment – Energy

★ Information Technology

★ Health - Healthcare

★ Entrepreneurship

3. Operational Mechanism

Match Mentors - Mentees according to the field of study the Mentee registers.

1-1 Mentoring (up to 3 Mentoring sessions/Mentee, maximum of 2 hours per session).

4. Important Timeframes

• Official program announcement and invitation for student registration: February 19, 2024
• Invitation for Mentors to register for the program: March 19 - March 3, 2024
• Matching process (Mentee registration and Mentor selection): March 4 - March 10, 2024
• Mentoring: March 11 - March 31, 2024
• Evaluation and activity summary: April 1 - April 5, 2024

II. Rights and Requirements for Students

1. Mentee's Rights

• Connect 1:1 with experienced Mentors in various fields.
• Share knowledge, experiences, and answer questions related to the career you are pursuing.
• Identify career goals, suitable jobs, and action plans to achieve your career goals.
• Learn about the industry, career path, opportunities, and challenges you may face when starting your journey.
• Receive advice on professional knowledge and practical skills you need.
• Get answers to questions about application programs, requirements, and points to note when participating in recruitment programs of companies.
• Gain a multidimensional view of the industry you are pursuing, understand employers' expectations for each industry and position.
• Have the opportunity to expand your network after participating in the program, build networking.
• Receive a certificate of completion from the organizers.

2. Mentee's Requirements

• Have a strong determination, high learning spirit, openness, and honesty.
• Commit to participating in a maximum of 3 connection sessions with the Mentor. Seriously participate in events and exchanges with the Mentor: If you need to cancel or postpone an appointment, inform the Mentor.
• Proactively plan and prepare information before meeting with the Mentor.
• Mentees need to clearly understand their career goals they want to achieve at the end of each session with the Mentor.
• Proactively contact their Mentor when they need advice or support through appropriate communication channels.
• Respect personal privacy and confidentiality of shared information.
• Maintain a comfortable and receptive attitude when receiving feedback and evaluations from the Mentor.
• Accept Mentor's suggestions and actively research additional reference materials to find answers or necessary information.
