The Vietnamese Family Newspaper and For Vietnamese Stature Foundation gave gifts to the poor in Nghe An

In order to support people in difficult circumstances in welcoming a happy Lunar New Year, the Vietnamese Family Newspaper co-operated with VSF and TH Group to give gifts to poor households in Quynh Luong commune (Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province) in “Tet for the poor 2017” program.

The presentation ceremony was attended by Ho Minh Chien - editor in chief of Vietnamese Family Newspaper; Mr. Tran Bao Trung - Chief official of Vietnamese Family Newspaper; Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang - Director of VSF; Ms. Vu Thu Hang - Communication Director of TH Group; The leaders of the Party Committee, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Luong commune, and hundreds of people representing disadvantaged families were present at the commune's People's Committee to receive gifts from donors.

At the ceremony, VSF presented 200 gifts (300,000VND each and 1 box of TH milk) to poor and near poor families in Quynh Luong commune. Tran Thi Nhu Trang - Director of VSF said: "In response to the call of the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Nghe An province to help the poor welcome the Lunar New Year, Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Nghe An Sugar Company, TH True Herbals, and member companies implement the program.”

According to Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang, “Tet for the poor” program has given 3,000 to 5,000 gifts (300,000 VND each and 1 box of fresh TH milk) each year to the amount of 1.5 to 2.5 billion VND. In 2017, Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, TH Group and Nghe An Sugar Company through the VSF awarded 2,500 gifts valued 1.7 billion VND for poor families in Nghe An province.

"This is also a demonstration of community responsibility for sustainable development of Bac A Commercical Joint Stock Bank, TH Group and Nghe An Sugar Company. Specifically, practical social activities that are done in a consistent way show that our business strategy is not maximizing profits but maximizing benefits, for sustainable development and for the community. At the same time, it expresses the wish of Madam Thai Huong - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors TH Group, General Director of Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Founder of the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation to do the best for the community. We will always maintain and accompany these activities, not only in 2017 but also in the following years”, said Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang.
