From January 14 to January 16, 2021, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) and 16 volunteers travelled 400 km to visit Bao Lam District (Cao Bang province), then gave meaningful gifts to 206 children at 5 Preschool Sites in the “Growing up with mountainous preschool students” project.
206 gift sets, each set has 1 coat, 1 woolen hat and 10 pairs of socks. Our volunteers supported us to pack and bring them from Bao Lam Town to Khau Noong and Na O (2 preschool sites of Thach Lam Preschool) and Ban La, Sang Xoay and Khau De (3 preschool sites of Thai Son Preschool). This difficult and dangerous trip could not stop our volunteers. Although they are different in terms of age and profession, together they still brought their love to Cao Bang.
“Thank VSF for giving me a meaningful trip. I have understood more about the difficulties and hardships of the teachers and the deprived children who are just 3 or 4 years old in this mountainous area.” - Nguyen Dieu Hoa, the Grade 10 student of Kim Lien Highschool, the youngest volunteer, shared her thoughts after the journey.
Watching the happiness of the children towards new warm coats, Ms. Dinh Thi Cuc - the Principal of Thai Son Preschool emotionally shared with our team: “All students have gone to school more regularly and they have rarely been absent from school since they received the support of VSF. We would like to thank VSF, donors and volunteers for caring and loving our children so much.”
We are grateful to the trust and companionship from the donors and the enthusiastic volunteers on our journey of contributing to the community.
Let’s see the captured moments during this journey below
