Training course on preventing and combating child sexual abuse

Through experiential exercises, group discussions, and individual activities, participants worked together to:
• Identify sexual behaviors and assess possible risks that can happen to children.
• Analyze communication barriers between parents and children to build relationships with children based on understanding, respect, and equality.
• Practice necessary measures to prevent child sexual abuse and protect children.

Since 2022, VSF and TH Group have jointly organized 3 training courses on this topic and 1 training course on “Positive discipline in child education” for officials and employees in Hanoi and Nghe An.

The “Scarlet Sails” project was initiated by VSF in 2020 with the desire to connect and mobilize social resources to jointly support and nurture the dreams of children who are in particularly difficult circumstances and at risk of being sexually assaulted.
In addition to training activities and forums to raise awareness and skills for children, caregivers, and stakeholders, VSF also connects and mobilizes resources in society to jointly sponsor living expenses/tuition fees and vocational training for children.
