For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) sincerely thanks sponsors for the support of the “Growing up with mountainous preschool students” project, bringing nutritious meals to upland students in Cao Bang province.
We would like to report the project’s activities in the past month as follows:
In the first semester of the 2021-2022 school year, thanks to the joint support of sponsors, 188 students from 5 school sites in Bao Lam district, Cao Bang province, received a total of approximately 30,000 warm and nutritious meals, with vegetables, fruits, pork/chicken/fish/pork paste, and an afternoon supper (noodle, porridge, or phở).
The project has brought many positive results. 100% of students eagerly went to school every day. Thanks to going to school regularly, students’ physical development, linguistic skills, awareness, and social skills have markedly improved, reaching 94.4 to 100%. After a semester, 99% of students gained weight and got taller. On average, each student gained from 0.2 to 2 kilograms and was taller by 0.5 to 1 centimeter.
In addition, VSF also completed the sponsorship of facilities to enhance students’ study and living conditions from the Foundation’s counterpart funds. The facilities include (see more here):
- 01 fridge and mesh fence to ensure a safe playground for students (Na O school site - Thach Lam kindergarten).
- 03 clean water reservoirs (Khau De, Sang Xoay, and Ban La school sites) and 01 water purifier for Ban La school site (Thai Son commune’s kindergarten).
VSF would like to once again sincerely thank sponsors for supporting the “Growing up with mountainous preschool students” project. More information on the project will be updated on VSF’s communication channels.
