After a period of being actively implemented, during the time of social distancing to prevent the spread of Covid-19, phase 4 of the Project "For mothers and baby - For the stature of Vietnam" has completed 20/20 sessions.

“The seminar was really meaningful. This is the first time I have access to such insights. My daughter is 15 years old this year. For sure after this event, I will be more open to sharing with her about reproductive health care, both about contraception and pre-marital health check so that she will be more sensible!"

That was shared by Ms Nguyen Thi Hoa - an employee from Model Shoes Department, Sao Vang Company Limited (Truong Son town, An Lao district, Hai Phong province), after joining the seminar on reproductive health care held on October 15 organized by Doctor Tran Thi Minh Tam (Specialist I) – reproductive health care specialist of "For mother and baby - For the stature of Vietnam" Project.

After a period of being actively implemented, during the time of social distancing to prevent the spread of Covid-19, phase 4 of the Project "For mothers and baby - For the stature of Vietnam" has completed 20/20 sessions. Seminars on nutrition, reproductive health care and mental health have attracted thousands of workers, both male and female, to attend. Facilitated and coordinated by the Trade Union and the management boards of 14 factories, the seminars were held on the factory premises such as meeting halls, factory areas or even at the cafeteria, to encourage the participation of all workers.

Evaluating the effectiveness of the seminars, Ms Vu Thi Dung - Medical officer of Stella shoe factory shared her thoughts: “Having a significant portion of female workers of reproductive age, this seminar acknowledges female staff about self-care and staying healthy. Although some have had basic understanding through social media, concerns about the usage of condoms or oral contraceptives– which are normally too sensitive to be expressed – have been resolved by Doctor Tam.”

Let us take a look at some pictures taken during the event:

Phase 4 of the Project "For the mother and baby - For the stature of Vietnam" was organized by VSF, in collaboration with the Hai Phong Women's Union. This project is within the scope of "Health care for women of reproductive age" program – one of VSF’s three key programs. TH Group, DKT International, Newchoice and OK from Golden Choice Limited play as financial supporters of Phase 4. In addition, targeted workers also receive health care products from Hoa Linh Pharmaceutical Company.
