4 messages of respect, safety, and care that the Hopers want to spread

From their conversations, the changes they hope to see in their school environment and the issues they believe their friends should know more about or are concerned with, the students worked in 4 groups to select the first 4 key messages for their communication initiatives: 

1. Respect Differences

2. Speak Up Today, Stay Safe Tomorrow

3. My Body, My Rights

4.  Stop Hurtful Words

Each message reflects the students’ voices, perspectives, and aspirations for a safe and non-violent school environment where every child is respected, heard, and supported to thrive and grow up happily.

Through communication initiatives designed and led by themselves, the students not only speak up about issues that matter to children, but also seek to raise awareness and spread positive messages among their peers, families, and the wider community.

In the coming months, these messages will be further developed by the Hopers into communication products and activities, helping to share them with fellow students and teachers at Hope School. 

The journey of the Scalets Sail continues to be shaped by the voices and actions of the Hopers themselves. Stay tuned to see how they will bring these messages to life and share their stories in their own unique ways!
