Hopers design communication campaigns to inspire positive change at Hope School

Building on the knowledge gained from two training workshops on gender equality, the prevention of school violence, and child sexual abuse prevention held in April and May, the students are now entering a new phase of their journey. As core students, they will turn what they have learned into meaningful communication initiatives and creative campaigns, helping spread positive messages to their peers and teachers across the school.

Supporting the students throughout the session were Ms. Tran Hong Diep, Director of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF); Ms. Hoang Thi Lan Anh, VSF Communications Manager; and Ms. Nguyen Ha Linh, VSF Communications Officer.

 Starting from their initial ideas, the student groups worked together to gradually shape their own communication initiatives by identifying target audiences, refining key messages, exploring suitable formats and choosing the most effective channels for outreach. From stage performances and short videos to podcasts, each group sought creative ways to turn their ideas into meaningful action, bringing messages of safety, respect, and kindness closer to their friends throughout the school community.

In addition to designing their communication initiatives, Hopers also learned how to work more effectively as a team. By learning to identify behaviors that may intensify conflicts, practicing strategies to manage disagreements constructively, and using “I - messages” to communicate emotions with empathy and respect, they gained essential collaboration skills that will support them throughout the implementation of their projects.

This August, VSF will continue working with the students to refine their communication products. Their initiatives will then be officially launched at Hope School during September and October 2026, spreading messages on preventing school violence and child sexual abuse through the values of gender equality and mutual respect among students and teachers.

 The teams will reflect on their journey at the Scarlet Sails project closing forum, scheduled for November this year. Outstanding initiatives will also be recognized with awards in celebration of the students' dedication, teamwork, and the positive voices they have brought to the school community.
