This morning, November 3, 2025, all students of Nghia Loi Primary School, Nghia Tho commune, Nghe An province, had a very special start to the week as they participated in a communication session on gender and gender equality under the “Happy school” project implemented by For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF).

The session was led by Lecturer Nguyen Hoang Tung (Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema) and Gender Specialist Le Xuan Dong, who brought the students an energetic and engaging “lesson.”

Through movement-based games and fun quizzes with prizes, the students quickly learned to distinguish between biological characteristics (such as Adam’s apple, ovaries…) and gender characteristics shaped by society (such as strength, gentleness…).

Meanwhile, the interactive play “The Stork and the Fox”, performed spontaneously by the lecturer and students, filled the schoolyard with laughter while helping the children better understand respect, empathy, and cooperation between boys and girls.

The trainers skillfully guided students to recognize the impact of gender stereotypes, emphasizing that only by breaking free from limiting norms can each child grow in alignment with their own dreams and interests.

The highlight of the morning was the activity “Sculpt the human figure,” where groups of students worked together to create “living statues” depicting actions such as listening, respecting, and protecting others. The entire school became a “human sculpture workshop,” spreading the message: Equality begins with understanding and kindness.

“My favorite part was the play Co and Cao and teacher Tung’s acting! The play taught us to care for our friends and help others,” shared Nguyen Khanh Huyen, a Grade 5 student.

The morning ended with bright laughter, excited eyes, and heartfelt lessons. More than just a communication session, it was a journey to plant the first seeds of equality in each student, so that a “happy school” is not merely a slogan, but a reality created every day by teachers and students alike.

Let’s look back at the memorable moments from today’s session!
