On December 11, 2019, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) marked its 5 years of operation in the field of philanthropy and community development.
Officially licensed by the Ministry of Home Affairs in December 2014, VSF’s function based on the mobilization of social resources to join hands in implementing many meaningful programs, for the physical and mental health development of Vietnamese children. In the context of a strongly growing economy, the gap has widened among rural and urban areas, the rich and the poor; and many other social issues has arised, VSF was born with the aspiration and belief that each effort of VSF would contribute to the community, especially women and children in all parts of the country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang, Director of VSF shared, “Looking back our past 5 year journey with a lot of memorable events and milestones, we are very proud that despite our young age, we have effectively connecting social resources in charitable activities and projects for community development through our relentless efforts and a new, modern and diverse approach”.
The successful operation of VSF has performed with the companion and contribution of many organizations and individuals who have shared the same vision and enthusiasm . With the mobilization of the above resources, VSF has partly eased the difficulties of remote areas, where facilities and living conditions were still lacking; sponsoring poor children in special circumstances, providing learning opportunities and improving their lives; building civil constructions; supporting poor patients, and many other volunteer activities. In parallel with these activities, VSF continuously implemented raising awareness programs for workers in industrial zones, cultivated talents through encouraging poor students to overcome difficulties and students achieving outstanding academic achievement, and initiatives from the young generation.

Congratulations to VSF’s initial success, Mr. Le Xuan Son, Editor-in-chief of Tien Phong newspaper shared: “VSF has accompanied us at the Red Sunday voluntary blood donation program right from the first days of establishment. VSF plays an important role in the success of the program with 45-50,000 participants each year, contributing to the overcoming of blood shortages in hospitals, supporting tens of thousands of patients on Tet - a scarcity occasion of healing blood, saving people in traffic accidents during Tet. On behalf of the beneficiaries of the Red Sunday program, we congratulate VSF for the first 5 successful years and wish VSF to continue to grow and contribute more to the community ”.
The Chrysanthemum Artwork was successfully auctioned with the hammer price of 45 million VND to support children in difficult circumstances
At the event, VSF organized the auction of Chrysanthemum Artwork to raise funds to support children in difficult circumstances. In addition, 193 million was raised by many individuals and organizations at the ceremony. This valuable support will be used transparently and effectively by VSF to help disadvantaged people in many localities across the country.
Representatives of partner organizations and individuals celebrated the 5-year establishment of VSF.
The celebration was a milestone, marking VSF's first step in community connecting activities, aligning with the founding mission of VSF’s Chairwoman. Furthermore, with the deep gratitude to the partner organizations and individuals, VSF would continue to make efforts in bringing a new spring of development to help Vietnamese stature be improved and reach new heights.
Affirming the capability in social security activities, VSF received recognition from local and international organizations. VSF accepted merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Health, the Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs, the People's Committees of provinces; Certificate from the Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD) and the Irish Aid - for organization with “Good CSO partnership model” and “Organization with Good Transparency and Accountability Practice”.
In addition, VSF expanded its network with international organizations, such as in 2018, VSF one of 20 social organizations in the world to be invited to attend the Global Summit on the Protection of Children, held in Beijing, China; representatives of VSF together with representatives of other organizations from 11 Asian countries participated in the Social Service Leadership Exchange Program organized by Ee Peng Liang Memorial Fund of National University of Singapore, etc. Especially, in 2019 VSF received the "Best Non-profit Organization 2019 in Asia" award by the Asia Philanthropy Award.
