Around 700 female factory workers get mobile reproductive health clinic

At 7.30am on Saturday morning, many female factory workers early arrived the hall at Industrial zone Thang Long, right after their work-time at night. They came to participate in the Mobile Reproductive Health Clinic For Female Factory Worker, an activity in program “For mother and baby - For Vietnamese Stature” held by cooperation of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) and Labor Union of the Hanoi Industrial Zone and Export Processing Zone. After 2 days, more than 700 female workers had participated.

Mrs. Tran Thi Nhu Trang- Director of For Vietnamese Saturation Fouondation (VSF) announced the purpose of the activity and “For mother and baby - For Vietnamese Stature” project in the beginning.

This mobile clinic provided to female workers screening and treatment of common gynecological diseases. Moreover, the clinic offered cervical cancer screening to all participants with method VIA (Visual inspection with Acetic Acid). Consultants will be also provided explanation and knowledge about sexual and reproductive health, how to do breast examination by your own and tips in treatment duration.

In overview, around 70% of participants get common gynecological diseases, 18 cases get VIA positive. Doctors and consultants indicated the direction of treatment and emphasized the importance of maintaining treatment and re-examination on a case-by-case basis.
