With the aim to maintain international peace and security, develop friendly relations among nations, achieve international cooperation, and be a centre for harmonizing the actions of nations, the UN officially came into existence 24 October 1945, upon ratification of the Charter by the five permanent members of the Security Council—France, the Republic of China, the Soviet Union, the UK and the US—and by a majority of the other 46 signatories.

The OSP 2017-2021 between the UN and Vietnam prioritises four focus areas, shaped by the central themes of the SDGs (People, Planet, Prosperity and Peace). It is built on the three principles of inclusion, equity and sustainability, and is well-aligned with Vietnam’s Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2011-2020, its Socio-Economic Development Plan 2016-2020, the 2030 SDGs, as well as Vietnam’s international human rights commitments.

VSF aims to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially ones that related to education, health, equality, sustainable development through the implementation of three core programs: School Nutrition, Young Talent Nurturing and Healthcare for Women of Reproductive Age.

Besides, VSF regularly carries out many projects such as constructing civil works (building schools, bridges,...) sponsoring children with special needs and facilitating adequate conditions for children in disadvantaged areas to go to school. In 2020, VSF initiated the project "Growing up with mountainous preschool students" to raise funds for day-boarding meals for 5 schools in Thach Lam, Cao Bang.

Join us to build a mighty Vietnam!
