Commencement of the project to upgrade the Happy School Project's facilities in Lao Cai and Son La

The total cost of fixing up and improving the buildings is more than 774 million VND. This includes:

- Renovate 06 degraded classrooms

- Renovating the playground and drainage system

- New construction of toilets

Particularly, the Suoi Bang Middle & High School's Pua Lai school site (Van Ho, Son La) has a total investment value of close to 500 million VND and will eventually meet the educational needs of 75 students.

In the same way, the Ban Lau Primary School site in Na Nhung, Muong Khuong, Lao Cai, has a total investment value of 274 million VND and will help 106 students learn.

The Happy School Project is a new project model that will be implemented by the For Vietnamese Foundation beginning in 2022. The project's objective is to increase the opportunities for students in underserved areas to access high-quality education through integrated solutions, helping the government achieve its national target programs and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

MSD - United Way Vietnam is the partner that is responsible for implementing the project's activities in Lao Cai, and the Department of Education and Training of Van Ho district is the partner that is responsible for implementing the project's activities in Son La. The financial support units for the project are TH Group, Bac A Bank, and MoMo e-wallet.
