On January 11, 2022, Forbes announced its inaugural Forbes 50 Over 50 Asia 2022 list, honoring 50 Asian women over 50 years old having major and positive impacts on the global scale.
Labor Hero in the renovation period Thai Huong, Founder of TH Group, General Director of BAC A BANK, and Chairwoman of the Board of Management of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) has been honored in this list, alongside names like General Secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation Sharan Burrow (Australia) and actress Michelle Yeoh (Malaysia), etc.
“Ms. Thai Huong is known for her revolutionary role in the agriculture sector in Vietnam. She boosted the country’s dairy industry with the group's investment in cow breeding and farming in 2008 using technology from Israel, helping to lower the ratio of milk products using milk powder to 60% (as of 2020) from 92%.
She made more bold moves in the last few years by investing in milk product manufacturing in Russia and Australia. The investment project in Russia, planned at a total $2.7 billion capital, is near completion of phase one, with a milk factory expected to open in May 2022,” explained Forbes on why Labor Hero in the renovation period Thai Huong made the list.
Forbes 50 Over 50 is a list firstly announced by Forbes in 2021 to honor female politicians, businesspeople, scientists, artists, and experts who have great achievements in their 50s. Despite being made for the very first time, the Forbes 50 Over 50 list received over 10,000 nominations from all over the world.
