Cooperation with UN Women in activities promoting gender equality and enhancing women's economic empowerment

 Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang, Chairwoman of VSF Management Council, and Ms. Caroline T. Nyamayemombe, UN Women Representative in Viet Nam, signed the partnership agreement in the presence of more than 100 delegates representing government ministries and agencies, international organizations, business associations, corporations, and companies attending the event in Ho Chi Minh City.

Over the 3-year period (2026 - 2029), VSF will accompany UN Women in mobilizing resources from the community and the private sector to implement projects supporting women’s economic empowerment, promoting the participation of women and girls in STEM education, as well as protecting women and girls from violence, particularly within the safe, caring and adaptive cities model.

  2 main activities under the partnership include:

- Organizing a national forum on public – private partnership in preventing and combating violence against women in public spaces and in the digital environment.

- Implementing fundraising campaigns from the community and the private sector for projects.

 Previously, VSF had implemented various activities to promote gender equality and empower women, such as Let Orange’s Campaign, projects supporting livelihood loans improvement for women affected by violence and women in difficult circumstances, For Mothers and Babies - For Vietnamese Stature project, and others. The partnership with UN Women is expected to help VSF expand and effectively implement activities in this field.

 The signing ceremony took place within the framework of the Business Forum themed “Balancing the Scales in Business - From Policy to Action”, organized by UN Women and the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council (VWEC) under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
